JB Designs began in 2018 as a way to honor the memory of my late stepson, Hunter Propst, and his grandfather, Bob Propst Sr., a legend in the walleye fishing community. What began as a meaningful hobby quickly grew into a business, eventually reaching nearly 100 handcrafted rods each year.

Joshua Bible is the owner and rod builder behind JB Designs Custom Rods in Pierre, South Dakota.

Every rod built by JB Designs reflects where this business started: family, time spent on the water and a genuine love for fishing. Whether I am creating a one-of-a-kind custom rod or developing a new production model, my goal is to build equipment anglers can trust and enjoy for years to come.

As the business has grown, so has the vision. In addition to our fully customized rods, we are developing the JB Designs Walleye Series, a collection of technique-specific rods designed for walleye anglers throughout the Midwest. Each model is tested by local anglers and refined using their real-world feedback.
